Cirkus Cirkör, Scandinavia’s leading ’contemporary circus’ company, was founded in Stockholm in 1995.
The company aims to integrate its modern take on the art of circus into Swedish performing arts and youth culture. Since its humble beginnings, Cirkus Cirkör has expanded rapidly and is now the super-hub of contemporary circus art in Scandinavia.

As an organisation, Cirkus Cirkör divides into four different fields of activity: performances, youth- and children’s activities, circus education and events. An ongoing exchange - of experiences, directors and ideas - between these fields secures continuous creativity and a strong future for the company.

Cirkus Cirkör has permanently changed the face of the performing arts in Sweden. The company employs directors from many different genres, such as music video, musical, theatre and modern dance. It has also worked with a variety of producers and in many different locations. Lately, Cirkus Cirkör has been touring throughout Europe and Asia.
